In this video, we're going to talk about alkaline water. Spring water, artisanal water, or well water is typically alkaline naturally. This is because of the alkaline minerals: magnesium, calcium, and potassium and the bicarbonates that exist naturally in the water, making it more alkaline.

When a machine makes water alkaline, it doesn't do so by adding minerals. Instead, it splits the water molecules with electricity to artificially make the water alkaline.

In my years of practice, I noticed that many people who used artificial alkaline water had urine with a pH of 9. Normally, urine should have a pH of 5 or 6. The problem with having very alkaline urine is that you don't have any protection against harmful microbes.

Artificial alkaline drinking water negatively alters your body’s chemistry. There are 3 fluids in the body that should normally be acid: stomach acid, the large bowel, and urine. It is imperative that these fluids remain acidic to break down proteins, absorb minerals, and kill microbes.

When you consume alkaline water that was made artificially, it can neutralize the acidic fluids in the body. This can create problems with digestion, the large bowel, and urine. This can also affect the absorption of key electrolytes, which are very important for your heart.
