Hey friends, it's Kelly with Blogfiti here.
And today we are going to talk about how to write blog posts, introductions that hook your readers and just generally rock.
So without further ado, let's get going first.
Be sure to grab your blog posts, intros, that hook workbook.
It is a free workbook I put together for you.
That goes along with this video, the link is in the description.
I want to let you know that if you have no clue what to write when it comes to your blog posts, intro, don't worry.
You're not alone.
Most of us have never written an introduction after the thesis statements that we are taught to write in school,
Like in this essay, I'm going to tell you three reasons why cats are better than dogs.
Unfortunately, that won't fly on
The internet.
We have to make our blog posts introductions, grab the reader's attention pretty quickly.
So they will keep reading.
That is the only point of your blog post introduction.
It is to convince your reader, to read the rest of your blog posts.
That is it's one job.
The attention grabber is called a hook.
And before we talk about that, let's talk about the three questions that your blog posts, introduction should be answering in order to keep your reader reading.
So the first one is what is the blog post about? If someone comes to your page and read your introduction and still has no idea what your blog post is about.
We're in trouble.
Girl, sound the alarm.
There's something wrong too.
Why should the reader care? Why does the reader care? What your blog post is about? What effect does it have on their life? And three, what is in it for them? What are they going to get out of trading their time for your blog post? What is the transformation or benefit that you are offering them
Now that you know, the three basic questions you need to be answering in your blog posts, introduction.
Let's talk about how to grab your reader's attention with hooks.
One of the easiest hooks you can do in a blog post introduction is to ask the reader a question.
Now you can ask them kind of a boring generic question and kind of grab their attention.
So say, do you struggle to lose weight? Right? Chances are in their head.
They are going to answer that question.
And they're going to maybe start to feel like they're in the right place, but you could ask the same thing by saying, are your abs more marshmallow than washboard? There we go.
You've added a lot of personality to your hook and you've still ask them the same question.
Another great hook are facts and statistics.
We humans love facts and statistics, especially ones that are shocking play on our emotions or validate our struggles.
The average American generates four and a half pounds of trash.
A day, 5% of Tinder users report saying, I love you in the first year dating 2.
4 billion robocalls made per month.

Of course, super important to always cite your sources.
When stating a fact or statistic, you need to prove that you're not just pulling out your rear end.
Okay? Always cite your sources.
Now let's talk about keywords.
Should you include your keyword in your introduction? Hell yes, you should.
As always be careful not to keyword stuff that is intentional overuse of your keyword or key phrase.
Google recognizes this as black hat SEO.
It is bad and Google will punish you for it.
On top of that keyword stuffing makes your writing sound really weird.
Even if the reader doesn't quite understand why your writing sounds odd, they will recognize that there's something off here and probably bounce right off your page.
So just don't keyword stuff.
Okay? Okay.
So now that you've got your hook, we want to transition into making your blood posts obvious with a transition sentence.

These are pretty easy and they should be pretty short.
I'm here to answer all of your questions about saying, I love you for the first time when it comes to reducing the number of spammy phone calls you get, I've got you covered using those transition to topic examples.
We seamlessly transition from our hook to our obvious topic while pushing the reader forward into the rest of our content ...
