CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 chocolate cake mix
2 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons oil (I use olive)
1 egg
1/2 cup cocoa
Mix together.
1 yellow cake mix
2 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons oil (I use olive)
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
Mix together.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop onto cookie sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in white sugar.
Bake for 8-10 min.
Fill with your favorite filling.
MASHED POTATOES:
Peel potatoes and boil until soft. Mash using a hand masher or mixer. Add butter, milk and salt. Optional: sour cream, cream cheese.
PAN GRAVY:
Melt a half stick of butter until slightly browned. Add approxiamtely a 3/4 cup flour, or enough so that the mixture isn't runny. Stir around until nice and browned. Add hot water until it is the right consistency.(be careful, this will steam!) Season with salt and pepper. (or your favorite seasonings)
POOR MANS STEAK:
2 lbs. hamburger
2 eggs
1 cup crushed crackers (I use saltine or Ritz)
1 cup oatmeal
Salt
Pepper
Water until the right consistency. (approximately 1/4 - 1/2 cup)
Mix and form patties. Grill or fry until almost done. Put in a roaster and add the pan gravy. Put in oven for an hour at 350 degrees.
BUTTERFINGER PUDDING
1 pkg. graham crackers, crushed
26 saltine crackers, crushed
5 vButterfinger candy bars, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
2 cups milk
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
12 oz cool whip
Mix butter with crackers and candy bars. Put half of crumbs in the bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Save the other half for the top. Beat pudding with milk and add the ice cream and cool whip. Pour onto crumbs. Put the other half of crumbs on top.
*Note: it helps to have the candy bars cold when you crush them.
ICE CREAM SANDWICH DESSERT
Icecream sandwiches
Cool whip
Hersheys Syrup (caramel, chocolate or both)
Layer icecream sandwiches in the bottom of a pan. Put cool whip over them. Drizzle with syrups. Reapeat.
