How to Toggle Object Space and Axis | Maya Script | Hotkey
The script we have all been waiting for - mmManipSpaceCycle - Version 4.00 by Marcus Taylor.
This script is designed to allow for easy cycling through spaces or axis' on Maya's manipulators.
With the ability to fully customize each function as you like, this script should tailor to a wide variety of workflows.

To cycle through SPACES in the script's default mode, these two lines will run the space mode either in a hotkey or button:
import mmManipCycle
mmManipCycle.space()
Similarly, to cycle through manipulator AXIS' you can use the axis mode below
import mmManipCycle
mmManipCycle.axis()
