Here are three methods to fix the SSH Connection Refused error:

🟣 Checking your Server

Make sure your server is running correctly and is ready to accept the SSH connection. To do that, contact your hosting provider and ask about the server status.

Hostinger has a handy status page where you can stay up to date with any service interruptions and also check your resource limits.

🟣 Checking your Credentials

The next common reason for the SSH Connection Refused error is incorrect login credentials. Double-check if there are no errors in the command you entered to establish the SSH connection.

At Hostinger, all the SSH-related details are available in the SSH access tab in the advanced section of your hosting account.

🟣 Localhost and Dedicated Server Issues

If you use localhost or a dedicated server, take a look at the server documentation or community forums as the troubleshooting steps are different depending on what server configuration you are running. Ensure that SSH is installed on your server and check if the SSH service is running.
