Since I've recently gotten a full fiber to the home setup, giving me a nice gigabit connection, I've felt the need for a modem upgrade (well I actually got rid of the modem and simply got a router in the end, but that's in the video) since an aftermarket modem from Asus or TP-Link etc. will give you a HUGE wifi speed and range increase over the stock one.
Initially, I simply looked at the specs a bit and decided "Okay, the best modem on the market, without counting those extremely overpriced like the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro, clearly is the Asus DSL AX82U. So I simply bought that. The thing is, as you will see watching the video, even though it's a really good modem it has a bit of an outdated UI and still from Asus, the TUF AX5400 is actually better software wise, while packing the exact same processor and switches inside. You lose the support for a modem, but that's not really needed if you have a full fiber setup!
Let me know if you liked this kind of video, it's a bit different from usual :)
