Rambo escapes captivity | Rambo: Force of Freedom Animated Series (1986)
What was your favorite scene from Rambo: Force of Freedom 🪖 which aired 📺 in 1986? One great scene from the first episode titled, “First Strike,” depicts Rambo being tied up and forced to dangle over a pit of snakes 🐍 only for him to make a daring escape. General Warhawk taunts Rambo after capturing him by saying, “Now if you will excuse me, I have things to do. I’m taking over a country 🇺🇸.” Several large rattlesnakes attempt to bite Rambo’s dangling boots. Sergeant Havoc, voiced 🎤 by Peter Cullen (voice of Optimus Prime), tells Rambo, “Nice knife 🔪,” and then tosses the blade at him, but misses and sticks in the tree 🌴 behind him. Havoc says to his goons, “When he begs for mercy, cut him down and bring him to me.” Rambo strains as he carries all of his body weight in his tied up arms. Snakes continue to try to bite him from the pit below. When the guards 💂♂️ have their backs turned, Rambo spots the knife in the tree and gets an idea. Rambo swings his body forward and backward, using his weight to generate momentum. He is able to swing back far enough that he can grab his knife with his feet. He then flicks the knife up in the air and catches it with his tied up right hand. Rambo then cuts through both bindings around his wrists and jumps down. As he does this the guards notice and begin firing their AK-47’s 🔫 at Rambo but he is able to escape into the jungle. Do you guys remember how Rambo foils General Warhawk at the end of this episode?
