OpenElec / Kodi on Raspberry Pi 2
Hi there,
In this review I show you the performance of the new Raspberry Pi 2 model B 1 GB running the Kodi media center. With the new hardware it is much faster responding than the previous version model B+.
As I mainly use the Pi2 as media center I installed OpenElec 5.01 running Kodi 14.1 as XBMC media center.
Here are some install notes to setup the card.
Copy the openelec for RbPi2 image (2!) to an uSD card. On first run it will resize the card to its max size by it self.
Then add repositories from these locations in your filemanager:
xfinity.xunitytalk.com; fusion.tvaddons.ag; srp.nu;
From these locations you install addons like:
Addon install; 1channel; Icefilms; NaviX; etc.
The TV section is only working with the addition of a PVR client. I used PVR IPTV Simple Client.Then setup the client play list url:
bit.ly/husham2015/
That is most of all you have to do to setup this media center.
You will notice that this system respons to your tv remote and there are also apps for your mobile Phone to control your media center. A remote keyboard is just more easy to setup your system.
