Have you purchased a new Windows 8 PC or have tried to reinstall Windows 8 for some reason and then discovered there is no license key sticker on the case?
I have, at first i thought the label was missing.After doing little research, i learnt that, Microsoft have changed the license key setup with Windows 8 and now with PC shipped with Windows 8 the key itself is buried within the BIOS. This means that if you try and set up a fresh installation of Windows 8 on the machine the activation process will fail as it will try to use the default key buried in the Windows installation.
While reinstalling/fresh installation of windows 8, it is supposed to automatically pick the product key from system's BIOS and activate the windows without the need to enter the product key manually.But some times it may not automatically pick the key. In such case, to get the license key you will need to pull it directly from the BIOS itself.
