In the biking community, large wheels with fat tires were usually associated with mountain and adventure bikes that used an enlarged tire surface to efficiently conquer sand, snow, gravel or other surfaces that offer limited traction. Today, however, knobby tires migrated to other classes of bicycles. It feels that this migration happened not just for the benefits for the riding prowess and comfort but also because fat bikes just look cool.
The newly emerging class of moped and motorcycle inspired bicycles is characterized by the use of 20 by 4 inch wheels (sometimes larger diameters are used), elongated seats for rigging two-up, and highly-capable power-trains that could reach speeds beyond 28 mph (in some cases the 50 mile-per-hour speeds could be found in the spec sheets).

In today's video presentation we are looking at some of the newest fat bike models that have designs inspired by classic mopeds of the past or try to bring the motorcycle style to the e-bike worlds. These models are scheduled to go on sale in late 2023 or early 2024 but their pricing and further details about their availability in North America, Europe and other markets are to be announced soon.
