2023 WEY Gaoshan DHT-PHEV in-depth Walkaround
Wey Gaoshan is targeting families in search of a second vehicle or a replacement. The vehicle comes equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, boasting a maximum power output of 113kW and a peak torque of 223Nm. In its 2WD version, it features a single motor in the front, generating 130kW/300Nm, and is complemented by a 36.7kWh ternary lithium-ion battery. This combination provides an electric mode range of 153km according to the WLTC standard.
The Wey Gaoshan plug-in hybrid (PHEV) MPV made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show last week. For prospective buyers, the manufacturer is offering a 5,000 yuan discount on the vehicle price with a 1,000 yuan deposit. The PHEV variant is powered by a 1.5-liter ICE producing 156 hp and is equipped with a 37.96 kWh battery manufactured by SVOLT. This setup allows for a 150 km electric mode range and an impressive total range of 1,000 km.
This 7-seat MPV boasts a curb weight ranging from 2610 to 2730 kg and offers larger dimensions when compared to the Toyota Alphard. Its chassis measures 5045/1960/1900 mm and sits on a substantial wheelbase of 3085 mm. The wheels are of standard size at 245/50 R18. Additionally, Wey has highlighted that there is a generous 340 mm of trunk space behind the third row of seats, adding practicality to its impressive features.
