In this video Jessica talks about layering Heat Transfer Vinyl. There are some Heat Transfer Vinyl’s that work great for layering and some that don’t.
The easyweed, easyweed stretch and the stripflock make a great base for layering heat transfer vinyl. You don’t want to layer glitter on top of glitter or holographic on holographic.
For the project used in this video, Jessica uses easyweed stretch ballerina pink for the base layer. She only puts it in the heat press for five seconds because she is doing three layers. She doesn’t do the full 15 seconds until the last layer is on.
The second layer is done in easyweed bubble gum pink and the third layer is in pink holographic. The holographic vinyl is a cold peel, so let it sit for a minute before peeling off the carrier sheet.
