In this video, I will teach you the fundamentals of index match formula, so that you can truly understand these index match combination inside out.

Index match is extremely popular and frequently used by a lot of analysts to overcome the weakness of vlookup formula, which cannot do vlookup to the left.

I must confess that I don't frequently use the index match formula as I tend to lean towards my personal favourite formula, i.e. xlookup, which I believe is easier to understand and is equally powerful. However, there is a catch, the xlookup formula is only available with the newer Excel 365.

So if you are on the older version of Excel, it is definitely worth learning the index match combination formula.
