LCO Memorial Day Services and Groundbreaking
Tribal elder, Edward Benton-Banai blessed the site of a new Veterans Memorial at Kinnamon School site on the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Reservation at Reserve, Wisconsin with Tribal Chairman, Gordon Thayer launching the official fundraising effort to match a $100,000 donation for the effort from the Shakopee Mdewankanton Sioux tribe. The events were held on Memorial Day, May 28th, 2012.
