It's not as complicated as it appears! This is how to quickly determine if you need a UPC/GTIN barcode for your product on Amazon FBA. If you're selling an existing product that's currently on Amazon, then you do not need to purchase a barcode. If you're selling a product not sold on Amazon, like your own brand of product(s), then you will need one.

One thing not covered in this video is if you want to apply for the GTIN Exemption. You can eliminate the need to purchase a barcode for a product not sold on Amazon, however you'll have to use the "Generic" brand name and cannot use your own.
