Troy Landry, one of America's finest hunters and proclaimed king of the swamp, had led an adventurous life right from when he was born into a family of five-generation hunters. From childhood to adulthood, Troy lived and breathed alligator hunting, and it almost became inevitable that he would continue the family business. After years of making a living through the small business, Troy gets an opportunity to have a mega career in Alligator hunting and having a live audience, which leads to the birth of the series The Swamp People. After about 15 seasons, a turn of unfortunate incidents sends Troy into retirement earlier than anticipated.
