Tftjs: Gemini's rigged demo, its Java API, Kid prodigies, Java jokes, and more
Tales from the jar side, for the week ending Dec 18, 2023. Google releases Gemini along with a rigged demo, but follows up with a set of APIs for the Pro version. A Java API is available, but only for the cloud version, triggering a rant.
A few kid prodigies in chess and golf, some Java jokes told on a final exam and online, and the usual assortment of silly tweets, toots, and skeets.
