Abstract:
As part of service assurance, one of the techniques to find if the service is not working as intended is by sending sampled synthetic data and measuring end-to-end performance such as delay, delay variation, and loss, and typically protocols such as TWAMP are used. When automated service provisioning is done, it's good to also automatically provision these TWAMP sessions and collect the TWAMP statistics to calculate and indicate to operations staff if the service is good, degraded, or down. Typically, separate systems are used for service provisioning and TWAMP sessions requiring two-step processes. With the Crosswork Network Controller 6.0 release, this is automated with integration into Accedian Skylight active assurance system to automatically create TWAMP sessions based on a provisioned L3VPN service and automated collection of TWAMP statistics that feed into the service health calculation. This session will walk through the capabilities of the CNC and Accedian active assurance integration and deployment use cases.
