In this tutorial, I will walk you through two of Microsoft Excel's newer functions: TEXTBEFORE and TEXTAFTER. They are both awesome because they make splitting text based on a delimiter in Excel much easier than it was in the past. They both have similar structures in terms of their arguments. You need to provide the text you want to split and the delimiter you want to split the text on. There are also additional arguments that allow for more flexibility, such as specifying the instance you want to split on and whether you want the delimiter to be treated as case-sensitive or not.
The key difference between the two functions is that TEXTBEFORE returns the text before the desired delimiter, whereas TEXTAFTER returns the text you want after the delimiter. I hope you find this tutorial helpful. If you did, please like, subscribe, and comment. Thank you for watching!
