I wish I could come up with my own words that would bring you some comfort. But I failed, like many other things I tried to do. All I have are love, lending ears, and open arms for consolation. Rest here for however long you want.

You are a treasure. Your love is precious. You have also given her your all and for many years. You have done your best, dear friend. There mustn't be any regrets on your part. There should be none.
