Integrated development environments, often through a single UI, provide easy access to code libraries, test platforms, text editors, and compilers. This can eliminate the time-wasting burden of choosing and configuring software development tools, and even time spent otherwise learning them.
IDEs take many forms, and can be cloud-based, native, or mobile, as well as open source or commercial. They can be language specific, or support multiple languages, and can also contain programmable editors and build automation tools.
