The show Was actually canceled twice towards the beginning. The first time came after the second season, and it didn’t air another episode for another year. The second time came after the third season, and it lasted from 2002 to 2005. This show was one of the first to be brought back after being dropped due to the high volumes of home sales. Also, Swanson originally had a son named Kevin, but he was written out of the show. In season seven, it was explained that he died in Iraq, but they brought the character back in season ten where it was told that he faked his own death to get out of war.
