I wanted to make a brief video demonstrating how to link to data from a webpage, especially data that frequently updates like stocks, sports, weather, cryptocurrency, etc. Technically, this meets the definition of web scraping or web harvesting, as it's parsing a webpage and extracting data.

This will show you how to import or link these data into Excel and if preferred, will demonstrate how to keep refreshing the data to ensure your Excel file is up to date. With data from the web, you could do things like make your own personal dashboard of weather, sports, stocks, whatever, all in Excel. The possibilities are endless.

This is using the powerful web queries function in Excel. If you want to get into the advanced stuff such as extracting data from message forums or comparing prices on products, I might recommend using Python or R for web scraping. However, if you are just trying to import or link to some tables on a webpage, this should work the majority of the time.
