some people claim that the range of this module is approx 15 km but we will also test this range. For testing, we use one module as a transmitter and another as a receiver. so we also use the Wemos D1 Mini module with the RYLR998 LORA module as a transmitter, and another RYLR998 LORA module is connected to another Wemos D1 Mini module, that works as a receiver. And it is also connected to an OLED display for showing the data.
RYLR998 Lora module can be configured to multiple frequencies but in India
the frequency permitted by the Indian government is 865 megahertz, And We can configure the frequency by AT command.

we have tested these Lora modules with Wemos D1 Mini outdoors, and we figured out that the range of these modules is approx 500 m in a crowded area. we can increase the range if we place the transmitter circuit at a height and we can also use this module in line of sight and we can get coverage of approx 15 km. But in crowds and regular areas, we can't get this long range
so we can say the RYLR998 Lora module has a range of approx 500 m in the city. And in the open area, we can easily get 5 to 7 km range on 9600 baud rate, and if we use lower board red like 300 BPS or 1200 BPS then we can easily achieve a coverage of 10-15 km
