ingredient right here. Cellulose is extracted from tree pile, is fed into a digester machine, cooked to separate the lignum from the fibers of the tree to make them white.
The fibers are bleached in the solution of chlorine dioxide, caustic soda and hypochlorite. Cellulose is used as fillers in tablets and as thickeners and stabilizers in products like ice cream yogurt and cheese.
When you turn around this mozzarella you'll notice that there's no cellulose powder. It's something that's added to shredded cheese.
Now let's talk about parmesan cheese. The consumers being frauded. They're buying something that is flat and tasteless not what they expected to get. Parmesan cheese was actually found to have a much higher content of cellulose powder.
So that is why I choose to shred my own. You will find this in every shredded cheese that you purchase, that's why we choose blocked cheese over shredded cheese because one, it's more cost effective and when you shred your own cheese it actually melts so much better and tastes so much better.
Lastly we always choose white over orange cheese because they don't have the added color and not guys were added to create a more consistent look but we don't necessarily need them.'
