Fan conditioner AUDI A6C5. Inspection and repair.
The electric fan of the conditioner on Audi A6C5 cars should be included in the following cases:
when the air conditioning system is turned on (the system must be filled with freon);
at strong heating of the engine at the command of the fan start sensor (located in the lower right part of the radiator, 4 wires).
To check the fan itself, you need to disconnect the connector (two thick wires, located near the power steering reservoir) and apply 12V to the lower connector or check the resistance (should be about 2-5 Ohms).
In order to check whether the voltage comes to the fan, you need to connect a 12V light bulb to the top of the connector, start the engine and turn on the air conditioner (press the ECON button to turn off the button). With a good air-conditioning control system, the lamp connected to the connector should light up.
What to do if the system is not filled with freon? This requires a scanner. There are two options:
1. Go to the engine control unit-activation of the actuating mechanism. In this case, we select in turn the relay for switching on the fan (the relay starts clicking and the fan periodically rotates)
2. Go to the climate - activation (select the electric fan), it should turn on.
The main problem in the electric motor of the fan is the wear of the brushes. But brushes can be replaced.
The main thing - the blade holds the nut under the head for 8, the thread is LEFT, it means you need to unscrew it in a clockwise direction.
New brushes found a slightly larger size 8x8mm, native 8x7mm. The 1 mm file is easily removable.
