Concept of VLAN - Virtual LAN ( Virtual Local Area Network) in Networking
In this video we discuss the concept of VLAN.
This follows the general definition of Local area network which is defined as the computer network created with a local geographic area and more narrower definition is a computer network created with a single broadcast domain. In a single broadcast domain, if one computer send a broadcast frame then it is received by all the remaining nodes in that network.
Switch has capability to create broadcast domain by dividing its port or interfaces into different group, these groups are called virtual LANs.
