Format USB stick in KDE partition manager

1) Close all applications and unplug all usb drives
2) Plug in the usb drive you want to format
3) Open KDE Partition Manager (e.g. by searching for it in the KDE launcher)
4) Enter your system password
5) left click on the usb drive in the left pane to select it
6) right click on the usb drive in the left pane and select 'new partition table' - if you can't do this repeat steps 1 - 5 above
7) select MS-Dos and click 'create partition table'
8) in the right pane right click on 'unallocated' and select 'new'
9) in the window that pops up under 'file system' select 'fat32' and clck OK
10) finally click 'apply' in top left corner and click 'yes' when window pops up asking if you really want to apply these operations.
11) a window will pop up showing progress, when it says 'all operations successfully finished' your USB stick will be clean and ready to use.
