Beginner Chords and Chord Progressions

The eGuide includes chord charts of the most common (and some less common) beginner chords. It also includes a list of several useful chord progressions. The chord progressions are created using the chords in the eGuide. This will give you an idea of which chords sound good together and how they can be grouped together to form songs. This will prevent you from learning a bunch of random chords that you don’t know how to use practically.
In this lesson I’ll show you how to take an Open E Major Chord and slide it around to create new chords leaving the same strings open. This will allow you to use a simple chord shape that you know to create really hip chords with advanced names. You’ll also be able to create chord progressions just by sliding this shape around.
For your information:
**Open chords refer to chords played in the first 3 frets. Many open chords have open strings in them but they don’t have too. Open chords just refer to a chord played in the open position.
**Open string chords are chords played out of open position but have open strings in them.
