I did this small project just for fun, and I don't think that it can replace the keyfobs that we are using and have been using for a long time, it was just interesting to me, so I know it is not necessary, we can survive without it, but I like experimenting with electronics, that's my hobby, so I did it just because of that :D
Also, there are new cars that have better solutions created by their manufacturers, so it might be interesting to be implemented on older cars like mine, I implemented it on my Peugeot 306 from 1998.
Maybe it will be useful when I add a remote start feature, so I can enter and start my car even if I forget my keys, I don't know I will see. Or it can be used as an alternative to the traditional keyfobs, so I will see how often I am going to use it.
The components that I used: Wemos D1 mini, two optocouplers (PC817), and a remote controller.
The code and the .apk file that I used to do it: https://github.com/Zdravevski/smart-p....
Thanks!
