Careful on windows environment| Steps for Restore Oracle RMAN on Windows | should be careful
We have faced a very critical issue in windows restoration of 11.2.0.4 Oracle Database in which I was restoring on new instance but when restore database in rman it replaced files of previous database which was already in recovery and in use.
When I just use set new name datafile then it restore to new path which in on ASM on same group.
So be care ful while restoring database in windows platform
