Just a really quick example of how many positional and behavioural tweaks are having a big collective impact.
The off-ball movement, shape and awareness is now on another level compared to how it typically plays. Off-ball players don't just switch off and stop now, there's a collective team effort to do the defensive work and this has a massive knock on impact on the midfield battle and overall quality of gameplay.
You will see how the Fulham CM in the first clip for example comes all the way over and tracks - instead of just standing around disengaged in the play. This allows the FB to be the support layer rather than stepping up and getting beaten, leaving all the space in behind him.
It's taken a lot of effort and attention to detail to shake this game out of the rigid '1v1' patterns - but the progress is all coming together!
