hi in this video I have a Citroen Nemo that won't start, at first it was due to a dead battery.
I connected a jump battery, read the fault codes,
EGR stuck closed and immobilizer fault.
although that didn't seem to matter because it then decided to start.
with it running I looked at different data pids.
one pid that stood out was the coolant temperature, it was showing -40.
I checked at the sensor and first thought it was indeed an open wire on the signal wire.
I then discovered that I wasn't correctly back probed and the scan data was incorrect.
EOBD showed different data and it looked good.
I then had a look around under the air box because I thought I could smell diesel, that's when I found a small split in a fuel pipe.
when I removed the pipe I could smell a strong smell of petrol.
I fixed the pipe and drained the fuel tank.
with the correct fuel the car ran fine.
the before and after fuel rail pressure were both the same.
I should have looked at the before and after fuel metering valve duty cycle, I didn't catch that
I took a couple of wrong directions on this diagnostic. I got there in the end.
thanks for watching.
