Last week, Apple sent an announcement to all podcasters on the platform about certain things we should and shouldn't do, or else we might have our show removed from Apple Podcasts and iTunes. One of those items was:
"Avoid using episode numbers in the title."
This left podcasters scrambling, but then later on, Apple retracted their statement about episode numbers, flat out saying:
"Your show will not be removed for having episode numbers in the title."
Here are my thoughts on Apple's announcement, and retraction, and just in general about Apple and what they offer us podcasters.
