Google Core Web Vitals is a set of web page performance metrics that reflects the essential quality of experience of the users browsing your website.
There are three core web vitals:
Loading: This is measured by a metric called FIrst Contentful Paint. This metric reflects how fast can you load your page to show users something useful, without unnecessary delays in background processes.
Interactivity: It is measured by a metric called First Input Delay. It measures how many milliseconds it takes for the user to interact with the page. This metric has an empirical value that is measured by Google and based on user behaviour.
Visual stability: It is measured by a metric called Cumulative Layout Shift. It measured how stable is a website when it comes to rapid layout changes.
The Core Web Vitals could be used in conjunction with many other metrics that reflect site-wide user activity such as Bounce Rate, Time on Page, Page Load Time (PCT) and Conversion Rate.
