A string of disappearances linked to mysterious doorways appearing all over the continent has senior researcher Zandik investigating one such passageway for himself. Driven further upward by more than just academic curiosity, his search into spaces beyond this world may leave him with more questions than answers.

A bit of a different work from us this time, we took a big risk switching to horror as a genre, and a lot of our animation pipeline had to be reworked from the ground up. The best part was experimenting with more multimedia-esque elements to fit the style and atmosphere of a slower-paced short, from rotoscoping characters and camera motions to implementing panoramic backgrounds in compositing, to even filming real-life footage with an old camera my parents kept around. I feel that animation as a medium does end up struggling with horror for a variety of reasons, but there are also a lot of strengths unique to animation that can still pull off the effect through completely different ways. Thanks again to everyone for supporting us thus far, and I'm now more than ever looking forwards to seeing what the team will cook up in the future!
