Ever since our first Hide & Seek Festival, in 2016, we crave for certain Brussels mythical locations, in order to add them to our program. Since freemasonry remains generally unknown to the general public, we longed to be able to propose a concert in a freemason temple. In 2022 our dream came true, for the Grand Orient of Belgium opened the doors of the Blue Temple, in the Rue de Laeken, for us. This location’s starry sky, usually reserved to insiders, welcomed the french-comoro multi-instrumentist & singer Nawal.
Nawal composes an acoustic music imprinted with mestizo spirituality. She sings the beauty of Islam, she recites Buddhist mantras, she mixes her Sufi and African roots with other mystical elements and with various Comoro Island instruments. The voice and the universe of this prominent figure of the Comoro Islands makes audiences of all cultures, the world over, vibrate.
