If we have private cloud or local smart home - why would we use public cloud services for backups?
There is simple, easy and cheap way to automate backups from within home assistant, define retention policy and also copy snapshots to safe place or your own private but external location (if you have one).
I'll be backing up my Home Assistant snapshots to Synology by using Samba backup Add-On and you'll see how easy it is to set it up.
