Budva, a historic coastal town on Montenegro's Adriatic coast, is renowned for its scenic beaches, vibrant nightlife, and a beautifully preserved Old Town. Dating back over 2,500 years, it is one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic, blending rich cultural heritage with a lively, modern atmosphere. The Old Town, or *Stari Grad*, is a labyrinth of narrow, cobblestone streets lined with stone houses, boutiques, cafes, and historical landmarks, such as the 15th-century Church of St. Ivan and the Citadel, offering panoramic views of the coastline.
Outside the Old Town, Budva's beaches are some of the best in Montenegro. Mogren Beach, a short walk from the town, is a secluded spot framed by cliffs, while Slovenska Beach, stretching along the main promenade, is popular for sunbathing, water sports, and seaside dining.
At night, Budva transforms, with an array of clubs, bars, and live music venues attracting visitors from around the world. For a quieter experience, the nearby island of Sveti Nikola, often called “Montenegro’s Hawaii,” provides a peaceful escape. Budva’s unique blend of history, natural beauty, and vibrant nightlife make it a standout destination on the Adriatic.
