To change the admin password on your NETGEAR router:
Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router's network.
Type http://routerlogin.net into your web browser's address bar.
Click Enter or tap Search.
A login window displays.
Enter the router user name and password.
Note: The user name is admin and the default password is password.
The BASIC Home page displays.
Select ADVANCED then click on Administration from there click Set Password.
Type the old password, and type the new password twice.
To recover your password in the future, select Enable Password Recovery.
Click Apply.
Your settings are saved.
