This tutorial will show you how to open the performance monitor in FL Studio. The performance monitor allows you to find out which plugins use the most CPU power in FL Studio.
This can come in quite handy, especially if you're experiencing cracking sound and other performance-related problems in FL Studio.
When you know exactly how much CPU each plugin consumes, you can then adapt your workflow to use more of the plugins that are not too hard on your CPU.
Some plugins use far more CPU power than others. Just switching from One synth to another can often make a big difference in performance.
The same is the case with effect plugins. They too will consume CPU power, so using plugins that are not too demanding on your CPU can make all the difference, especially if you use a lot of them on every single mixer track, and your computer is not very powerful.
Whenever someone has a low spec computer and is experiencing performance issues, the first thing they want to know is which plugins use too much CPU in FL Studio.
The performance monitor in FL Studio 20 is a very useful tool which will allow you to see a list of all the plugins (VST) in your project. It will display all the synths and effect plugins and show you how much CPU performance each one actually consumes.
