The deployment pipeline is a central idea in Continuous Delivery. CI/CD pipelines organise our work and allow us to optimise our software development process. We talk about cd pipelines a lot on this channel, but what does a real continuous delivery pipeline look like in action? This is real-world software engineering in practice.

In this episode, Dave Farley shows a real deployment pipeline in-use in a Fintech company called TransFICC based in London. TransFICC adopted Continuous Delivery from the start and practice it at an advanced level. Delivering frequent, changes into production in a complex system, working in a regulated industry. This video tells the story and demonstrates the progress of two changes through the pipeline. One showing the simple case of a successful change, and one showing the slightly more complex path of a change that fails tests in the pipeline.
