Gettin' Some was an ambitious no budget relationship themed feature film shot in Nottingham in 1999/2000.

This 95 minute edit was completed in 2005 and was intended to be the version finally released. Unfortunately endless delays in the grading and sound design of the film which lasted many years eventually resulted in a streamlined 60 minute edit being created, which was finally released in 2013 after 14 years in "the making."

This version - although not "warts and all" features elements and moments which from a writing, technical or acting aspect could be detrimental to the film, but which were left in at the time as a best salvage attempt of what the film hoped to be.

The film was still missing the never shot "fantasy" sequences (each character had a "fantastical" scene which also combined aspects of film homages - Quinn played football with Rod Stewart and the faces, Alex had a psychedelic dance sequence, Vince had a variety of Italian genre fantasy homages to giallo and spaghetti westerns) as well as some scenes which were never shot (some of which amplified the "venn diagram" crossover in the lives of the character) but outside of the first work print cut remains the closest to what the script was originally like.

As the original project file has become more corrupted overtime this version is suffering some aspects including the loss of the original font and most importantly is ungraded and does not have a balanced sound mix - you may have to tweak the volume as you watch!
