Court sentences dismissed policeman to death for killing Benson Obode in 2015
A Criminal Division of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City has sentenced to death by hanging, a dismissed Police Constable attached to the defunct Special Anti-Robbery squared, SARS, Lagos State Police command Joseph Omotosho, who was accused alongside four others of killing Benson Obode, the twenty-six-year-old car dealer in Benin in 2015.
Best Mbiere reports that the four other accused are at large following the recent jailbreak occasioned by the hijacked EndSARS protest in Benin.
