Manage your personal to do list to help stay focused and on track using the tasks tool. Located in the Tools list on the My Institution tab, the tasks tool allows you to create and organize personal activities as well as report on the progress of course tasks assigned to you by your instructors.

The tasks tool allows you to create and organize personal activities as well as report on the progress of course tasks assigned to you by your instructors. Let’s take a look.
To begin, on the My Institution tab, select the Tasks link in the Tools panel.
The tasks page can contain two types of tasks: course tasks and personal tasks. Your instructors create course tasks.
When you change the status of these tasks, your instructors are informed of your progress. You cannot change the priority or delete course tasks. You can also access course tasks inside each of your courses, but you cannot access personal tasks inside your courses.
When you access tasks from the Tools panel, you can create personal tasks that are only visible to you. You control the settings and can delete them. To create a task, select Create Personal Task.
Type the Task Name and optionally, provide a description and information you want to remember.
Next, set the due date, and select a priority from the menu.
Select Submit to add the task to the list.
To help organize your task list, you can sort any of the columns by selecting the column title.
And finally, to keep your list current, you can delete completed personal tasks listed on your Tasks page.
