No Adapter needed - My Astro A50 headset (GEN 4) is compatible with the PS5

Let me preface this by saying I'm not an audio expert. I'm just your average user who who wants quality sound while playing a few of our PS5 games.

I also didn't want to spend extra money...having to buy an adapter or extra cables for the PS5 while already spending $250 on these headphones.

I purchased these headphones in December of 2021 (for time reference) and have not done any firmware or driver updates. (just of out the box so to speak)

These headphones worked like a charm the first and hopefully only time I've plugged them in to our family's new P5!

Would really love some comments from audio GURU's to help me and other folk in the community!
