I am opening 4 hobby and 4 Breaker's Delight HTA Choice boxes of the new 2023/24 Topps Finest NBA Basketball for our next collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/product review! This set is unlicensed, so there are no team logos, but these boxes contain some of the only autographs for the NBA's top rookies who didn't sign deals with Panini. Hobby boxes sell in the $250 range and Delight boxes sell in the $300 range. Every hobby box contains 6 10-card packs (8 box cases). Expect 2 autographs, 6 Uncommon Base, 2 Rare Base, 2 Refractors, 10 base parallels, and 10 inserts per box. Every Delight box contains 1 10-card pack (10 box cases). Expect 2 autos, 1 base Refractor, 1 Geometric parallel, 4 base parallels, and 2 inserts per box. These boxes come with chances at pulling some of the only rookie autographs of San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, premium chrome cards of the top players from the 2023 NBA Draft class from a 3-level base set (Common, Uncommon, Rare), 1/1 Superfractors, rare LeBron James autographs, ultra-rare SSP case hit inserts (The Man, Centurions), various SP/SSP parallels (Refractor, Checkerboard, Blue, Purple Checker, Blue X-Fractor, Die-Cut, Gold, Black, Red & Black Vapor, Red, Geometric), various inserts from multiple sets (Arrivals, Debut, Finishers, Showstoppers), signature cards featuring on-card ink of the NBA's top rookies/stars/legends/HOFers (Finest Autographs, Rookie Finest, Flashback, Masters), rare cards of Wemby, Steph Curry, Brandon Miller, LBJ, Jayson Tatum, Scoot Henderson, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Keyonte George, Shaq, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson, Nikola Jokic, & Dereck Lively II, and more! You can get a box to break for yourself from your local sports card hobby shops and online retailers/sellers. Despite not having the NBA rights, the potential for exclusive autographs gives this set one of the highest ceilings of all the current products on the market! Compared to the other Topps Basketball sets, I consider this one to have the best value! Overall, I would rate the new Finest a 7/10. It's been 16 years, but I'm happy this set is finally back!
