Steps To Follow:

Step 1: Go to Data tab and Select Get Data from Text/CSV.

Step 2: Select the text file you want to open in Excel.

Step 3: When PowerQuery opens check for the separator in the file (Usually newer Versions check that automatically)

Step 4: Check for Date Column from the data, click on Transform Data.

Step 5: Right Click on Column head and select change type Using Locale. Change Type Dialog Box Appears.

Step 6: Select Date data type and press Ok.

Step 7: After changing the data type, check for other columns otherwise click on Close and Load.

Step 8: Data has been loaded, save it before you use it.
