Tiger Datnoid Care & Tank Size. It’s a lot of work feeding a tiger Datnoid tank. They get to be pretty big fish. I advise using these food sticks as a staple mixed in with live food. These fish need big tanks and that's what holds a lot of fishkeepers back from keeping them.

Hey man my flower horn is acting off today. He along with about five other cichlids are in a 65 gallon together they were getting along pretty good besides a little nipping here and there but this morning my flower horn was just sitting up the corner wouldn’t eat anything really he floats around the tank without much effort he lets the power head push him around just isn’t acting himself at all so don’t know if he got to stressed out or what but there wasn’t much aggression in the tank and these cichlids are only about 3-4” but I moved him into my 10 gallon hospital tank hoping to isolate him and ready to treat for anything but I’ve never really had a fish act this way.

I could swap fish between tanks and possibly find something that works for the fish but I figured I will have two 40 gallons setup within the week and I have plenty media to jump start them but yeah I know man these ten gallon tanks can get out of hand very quickly that’s why I’ve been changing the water on it at least once a day.

Trust me I don’t like them much either. When people come over and stuff I always tell them if you do get into fish get the biggest tank you possibly can right away. I would say a decent starter tank is 29-75 but most people won’t want to totally commit to a 4’ tank right away.

Aquarium tiger Datnoid fish get super large and need big tanks. Been doing the love dance for about a week. The black one is the female. Pearl scale long veiled is the male. Thinking they will probably eat the eggs in the community tank. This would be there 1st go at it.

Either way they will work it's just that it will work better if it's attached. Think about it. Why would a company waste money attaching a product which had no use? Especially one which would never need replaced. And if your pump is not intaking as much as it can expel than the pump will cavitate.... How about next time you get high and mighty with me do a little research into fluid Dynamics... I'm not your dentist I could give af about your tooth problems.

I am new to having a aquarium. I am in need of some advice. We have 2 gold fish, 1 black moor and 1 I believe Ryukin in a 20 gallon hex tank. It has been 2 weeks with them in. We had it set up for a week to establish it and all the water reading were good. Have done 2 water changes and the water on the 2nd change were not good.
PH- 7.6
PH HIGH- 8.0
AMMONIA- 8.0 ppm
Nitrite- 1.0 ppm
Nitrate- 5.0 I have red that the first couple weeks it takes a while for the biological filter to take ahold. Should I start adding things to reduce these amounts or more frequent water change? The fish look happy and not stressed so.the video is right after the water change.

Just something you might want to look for when getting the larger tank, the length is more important to goldfish (the ones you have) vs height of tank. You defiantly need to prime it, and make sure you have way more filtration running than you think you need! They produce that much waste the water will be constantly toxic. You need very frequent water changes, And don’t add anymore.

You know at their size it’s not a huge issue to keep them there so long as you don’t add anymore fish . I see you have an air stone . Slap it with a sponge filter and it’ll go far . Cheap route is to reduce feedings and do water changes . Also I’d recommend love plants . Mine don’t eat elodea so it runs wild in there and helps with absorbing nitrates.

I was telling my mother in law today about my Grandfather's tanks. He had like a dozen of them throughout his home, from a 5 gallon to a 200 gallon. His 200 gallon was my all time favorite. It was his "panfish tank". He had it set up in his garage and he would stock it with fish he had caught; bluegill, red breast perch, catfish and bass. Every couple of years, he would cycle out the fish with a fish fry, and stock it back up with fresh catches. He always got a kick out of telling folks that he cooked and ate all the fish in his aquarium, lol. Anyone in here keep "panfish"? When I eventually get the space for it, I'm going to follow in my Papa's footsteps and set up a tank I can "fry and eat", lol.
Pic for attention, not his tank.

Honestly, it can't be worse than most food fish farms - likely lightyears better. I wonder if you could take it the extra mile and deworm them at least? That's the one thing that always turns my stomach - the idea i'm eating something with a parasitic WORM in it lol. It's sort of a cross between wild caught and farm raised. It's a cool idea actually! I love the idea of "growing" my own food.
