by
Alexey Yurchenko, Co-Founder, Codership
Hosted by Eric David Benari
A Database Month event http://www.NYCSQL.com/events/172179742/
In this technical presentation Alex Yurchenko, cluster-developer and expert, will cover:
• Synchronous multi-master features and functionality
• Optimized WAN replication, boosting replication performance in geoclustering deployments
• Cluster migration
• How Galera and MySQL global transaction identifiers (GTIDs) operate in collaboration in hybrid Galera/MySQL replication topologies
Alex is the Co-Founder of Codership and started his professional software development career in 2003 at Continuent (then Emic Networks) where he was hooked up on synchronous replication. After that he joined R&D team at Meshcom, Inc learning the ways of mesh networking, embedded SW development and Scrum process management. There he got this crazy idea that running a software company can be fun.
In his former life, he held a Masters Degree in Astronomy from SUNY at Stony Brook and worked as a software engineer at Budker Institute for Nuclear Physics.
